Article I. General Terms and Conditions

Section 1.01 Conditions of admission and stay

 

To be admitted to enter, settle and stay on the campsite, you must have been authorised to do so by the manager or their representative. The manager is responsible for ensuring the good maintenance and order of the campsite and for enforcing these internal regulations.

By staying at or entering the campsite, you agree to follow these rules and the ‘swimming pool’ appendix, and you promise to stick to them. No one can live at the campsite or do any kind of work there, either directly or indirectly.

The manager or their rep can spot any violations of these rules.

 

Section 1.02 Police formalities

 

Pursuant to Article R. 611-35 of the Code on the Entry and Stay of Foreigners and the Right of Asylum, the manager is required to have foreign customers fill out and sign an individual police form upon arrival. This form must include the following information: surname, first names, date and place of birth, nationality and usual place of residence. Children under the age of 15 may be included on the form of one of their parents.

Minors who are not accompanied by their parents or an adult are not admitted.

 

 

Section 1.03 Installation

 

 

Tents, caravans, or motorhomes and related equipment (e.g. trailers) must be installed at the designated location in accordance with the instructions given by the manager or their representative.

 

 

Section 1.04 Reception desk

 

 

The reception desk opening hours are as follows:

In low season (before 1 July and after 31 August): by appointment from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00 for arrivals and departures.

In high season (1 July to 31 August): from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:30.

At the reception desk, you will find all the information you need about the campsite's services, food supplies, sports facilities, local tourist attractions and various addresses that may be useful.

A book is available for users to record any complaints. Complaints will only be processed if they are signed, dated, include a contact name and at least a telephone number. Complaints must be specific and relate to recent events. There is also a suggestion box for users to leave their suggestions.

 

 

 Section 1.05 Display

 

These internal regulations are displayed at the entrance to the campsite and at the reception desk. Signing the contract constitutes acceptance of these regulations.

The rates for the various services are communicated to customers in accordance with the conditions set by the mayor of Val du Layon and are available for consultation at reception. The tourist tax is set by the Loire Layon Aubance Community of Communes and applies per night to all persons over the age of 18.

 

Section 1.06 Departure procedures

 

Customers must notify the reception desk of their departure the day before. Customers who intend to leave before the reception desk opens must pay the balance of their stay the day before.

 

Section 1.07 Noise and silence

 

Customers are asked to avoid any noise or discussions that may disturb their neighbours. Sound devices must be adjusted accordingly. Car doors and boots must be closed as quietly as possible. Complete silence must be observed between 22:00 and 08:00.

 

Section 1.08 Visitors

 

After being authorised by the manager or their representative, visitors may be admitted to the campsite under the responsibility of the campers who are hosting them. Visitors may access the campsite's services and facilities provided they have paid the corresponding fee. The customer must report all arrivals and departures.

Visitors' vehicles are not permitted on the campsite.

 

Section 1.09 Safety

 

 

(a) Fire

 

 

Open fires are prohibited. Only electric or gas barbecues are permitted. Stoves, barbecues and other cooking equipment must comply with current French standards, be kept in good working order, must not be used under a tent or near a car, must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and must not be used in dangerous conditions. Candles are strictly prohibited, as is the storage of fuel.

During periods of drought, prefectural decrees may strictly prohibit the use of any cooking equipment whatsoever.

In the event of a fire, immediately notify the fire brigade and then the campsite manager or their representative. Fire extinguishers are located throughout the site, and a map is displayed at reception. Any use of a fire extinguisher must be reported to the campsite manager or their representative.

 

 

(b) First aid

 

 

A first aid kit is available at reception. A defibrillator will be installed near the reception entrance (budgeted for 2025). Currently, the nearest defibrillator is at the town hall (11 rue Rabelais) or the Marylise hall (30 rue du Pont Barré). In Saint Aubin de Luigné, at the motorhome area, the defibrillator is located at the town hall under the porch.

 

(c) Cigarettes

 

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside buildings. Outside, it is mandatory to use an ashtray and strictly prohibited to throw cigarette butts on the ground.

 

 

(d) Theft

 

 

The campsite manager or their representative has a general obligation to supervise the campsite. Campers are responsible for their own equipment and must report any suspicious persons to the manager. Guests are advised to take the usual precautions to safeguard their belongings.

 

 

(e) Games

 

 

No violent or disruptive games may be played on the campsite. Throughout the campsite, including the play areas, children must remain under the constant supervision of their parents or accompanying adults. The campsite, its manager or representative declines all responsibility. Any incident during games caused by a third party will necessarily result in an immediate report to their insurance company.

 

 

(f) Dead storage

 

 

Unoccupied equipment may only be left on the site with the agreement of the manager or their representative and only in the designated area. This service will be subject to a charge.

 

(g) Electricity

 

Customers are responsible for installing their own connections up to the terminal allocated to them. They are responsible for ensuring that their installations and appliances comply with safety standards, both in terms of the safety of property and people on their pitch and throughout the campsite. Connections must be made using equipment that complies with NF standards and is in good working order. Electric reels must be fully unwound. The campsite provides electricity up to the terminal provided for this purpose but cannot be held responsible for any damage beyond the terminal.

The connection for recharging electric vehicles is prohibited on the campsite.

 

(h) Animals

 

Dogs and cats must not be left free, nor even locked up on the campsite, in the absence of their owners, who are civilly responsible for them. Their behaviour must not disturb the peace, safety and cleanliness of the campsite. Animals are not allowed in the sanitary facilities. They are not allowed for visitors. The customer must provide proof of insurance and vaccination in accordance with the internal regulations. A supplement of €1.50 per day will be charged for each animal.

Stray animals will be seized and taken to the municipal kennels. The owner will be required to pay a fine to recover the animal, in accordance with the mayor's decision.

All owners of exotic pets must notify the manager or their representative before renting.

 

(i) Vehicle traffic and parking, including two-wheeled vehicles

 

 

Traffic regulations apply to all users within the campsite. The maximum speed limit is 10 km/h.

Pedestrians always have priority. Traffic is prohibited between 22:00 and 07:00. Only vehicles authorised by the manager or their representative are allowed on the campsite. Vehicles must not under any circumstances prevent the arrival of emergency services, obstruct the movement of campers or prevent new arrivals from setting up.

 

Section 1.10 Breach of regulations

 

 

In the event that a resident disturbs the stay of other users or fails to comply with the provisions of these internal regulations, the manager or his representative may, verbally or in writing if he deems it necessary, give notice to the resident to cease the disturbance.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of the internal regulations and after formal notice by the manager or his representative to comply, the latter may terminate the contract. In the event of a criminal offence, the manager or his representative may call on the police and, if necessary, file a complaint.

 

 

Section 1.11 Personal data

 

 

Customers' personal data is collected and processed by the manager, or his representative, of Campings de Val du Layon. Certain data is essential for managing the customer's booking and will also be used to send them information and/or promotional offers. In accordance with Article 40 of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, known as the ‘Data Protection Act’, customers have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete personal data concerning them. To exercise this right, please send us a dated and signed letter with your surname, first name, address and customer number to:

Article II. Special conditions

Section 1.01 Hygiene, cleanliness, equipment and infrastructure

 

 

Everyone is required to refrain from any action that could harm the cleanliness, hygiene and appearance of the campsite, the ground, the equipment and all infrastructure. It is forbidden to pour waste water onto the ground or into rainwater drains. For motorhomes or caravans equipped with sanitary facilities, waste must be disposed of in the facilities provided for this purpose at the Saint Aubin de Luigné site.

The campsite reserves the right to close the various facilities available to campers if incivility is observed.

 

 

(a) Waste

 

 

Waste sorting must be respected as indicated on the notice board at reception. Bulky waste is prohibited. Chewing gum must not be thrown on the ground. Fishermen are requested to gut their fish outside the campsite. Organic waste must be deposited in the designated area and must not contain any other waste. Guests must pick up after their pets.

 

(b) Maintenance and appearance of facilities

 

 

Washing is strictly prohibited outside the bins provided for this purpose. Laundry may be hung out to dry on pitches provided that it is very discreet and does not disturb neighbours. It must never be done from trees. It is forbidden to put up advertising signs or billboards at the entrance to the campsite other than those put up by the manager or his representative.

 

 

(c) Respect for nature

 

 

Do not waste water or electricity. Washing of all vehicles and related equipment is prohibited on the campsite. Plants and floral decorations must be respected. Campers are prohibited from hammering nails into trees, cutting branches or attaching clotheslines. Planting is prohibited. Digging in the ground is prohibited. Any damage caused to vegetation, fences, the ground or the campsite facilities must be repaired at the expense of the person responsible.

During periods of drought, prefectural decrees may strictly regulate water use.

 

 

Section 1.02 Swimming pool

 

 

The swimming pool is subject to specific rules and regulations appended to these rules and regulations. These are displayed at the entrance to the campsite and in the reception office. Acceptance of these rules and regulations also implies acceptance of the specific rules and regulations for the swimming pool.

Article III. Booking conditions

Section 2.01 Booking

 

 

The booking only becomes effective with the agreement of the manager or their representative, after receipt of the deposit and the completed and signed booking contract with acceptance of the rates and the campsite rules and regulations. The manager or his representative is free to accept or refuse reservations depending on availability and, in general, according to any circumstances that may affect the execution of the reservation made.

In the event of force majeure, the Campsite declines all responsibility for any disruption, interruption or impediment to your stay caused by events of force majeure. Force majeure is defined as any event beyond the control of the manager or his representative. A case of force majeure is by nature unavoidable.

In the event of an event classified as force majeure, the manager or his representative reserves the right to suspend his obligations without any prejudice or claim for damages being attributable to him.

 

Section 2.02 Camping pitches

 

 

The pitch package includes the pitch for your tent, caravan or motorhome, access to shared sanitary facilities and all infrastructure.

 

 

Section 2.03 Rentals

 

 

The mini chalets do not have bathroom facilities and the price includes the rental of the chalet, access to shared bathroom facilities and all amenities.

Rentals are for two to six people, depending on the type of accommodation.

 

 

Section 2.04 Payments

 

 

(a) Booking fees

 

 

Les Campings de Val du Layon does not charge booking fees for rentals or pitches.

 

 

(b) Payment terms

 

 

For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the total price of the services booked must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than the arrival date of your stay. Payment for services can be made by bank transfer, cheque, credit card, cash or holiday vouchers.

 

 

(c) Right of withdrawal

 

 

In accordance with Article L.121-19 of the French Consumer Code, the campsite informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date or at specific intervals is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day withdrawal period.

 

(d) Modification

 

The customer may request a change to their stay at the campsite (date and/or type of accommodation) by sending a written request to the campsite (by post or email), subject to availability and feasibility. No postponements will be accepted for the following season. If no change is made, the customer must complete their stay under the initial booking conditions or cancel it in accordance with the cancellation conditions.

Any request to extend the length of stay will be made subject to availability and current rates. Any request to shorten the length of stay is considered a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption of stay terms and conditions.

 

 

(e) Interruption or delay

 

 

Any stay that is interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure) due to your own actions will not be eligible for a refund. For any delayed departure due to your own actions, you will be charged an additional day at the current nightly rate after agreement by the manager or their representative.

 

 

(a) Cancellation

 

 

In the event of cancellation by the campsite, the stay will be fully refunded on a pro rata basis for the days lost, except in cases of force majeure. However, this cancellation will not give rise to the payment of damages. No

refund will be made in the event of cancellation by the customer.

Article IV. Your stay

Section 3.01 Arrival

 

 

Arrival days vary depending on the season:

For pitches: check-in from 15:00.

For chalets and mini chalets: check-in from 15:00 on the day of your arrival.

A deposit will be required before keys are handed over. There is no cleaning service. An inventory will be carried out.

 

 

Section 3.02 Departure

 

 

Rental accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 at the latest. The accommodation must be left in a perfectly clean condition and an inventory will be carried out. You will be liable for any broken or damaged items and for any repairs that may be necessary. The deposit will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure, less any compensation deducted for any damage noted in the exit inventory.

The retention of the deposit does not exclude additional compensation in the event that the costs exceed the amount of the deposit.

Rental accommodation: if the accommodation has not been cleaned by you before your departure, €150 will be deducted from your deposit.
